Industry Meme is authored by myself, Lee Thomas of Big Talk Productions.
During it’s initial beta phase Industry Meme is a conduit for the UK film industry to engage with the online conversation surrounding their content’s online/digital distribution.
Concerning itself with the cultural issues surrounding copyright infringement, emerging digital technologies for distribution, industry education of social media and informing opinions of the film industry (who have been commonly perceived to be resistant to change).
Operating as openly as possible and aiming for complete transparency - Industry Meme is an extension of my consultation to offline colleagues and industry figures of online developments, attitudes and conversations.
I believe that we do not and indeed cannot own the conversation concerning our content, that instead, the end user controls that conversation. By engaging we might improve the conversation.
