Welcome to Industry Meme
Industry Meme is a blog born out of many meetings and conversations offline within the UK film industry; more specifically it is a place that seeks to follow online discussion concerning our industry and engage members of the industry, who have traditionally remained offline, with the global conversation.
Improving that conversation.
As UK or indeed any film proessionals we must be aware of the growth and the power of online conversation beyond marketing and PR. Conversation is instrumental in the forming of opinion and in the rationalisation of offline activities.
Industry Meme’s focus is on the distribution of film content online; the advances, discussion and direction of such. Attempting to provide industry education around copyright infringement, legitimate digital distribution and the surrounding cultural debate.
The sites content is published publically and any visitor is able to leave comments. Prior to the site’s launch, key figures from the industry have been engaged. It is intended that this will allow for the gradual immersing of such figures with both the technolgy at use on the site and the emergence of an editorial strategy for site devleopment.
I hope the following six months will see the beginning of many more conversations both online and offline. Further information can be found on the about page. Comments can be attached to this post.
